Beneath Different Skies
It is often said that the souls we encounter are those with whom we have shared a connection long before this lifetime. I experienced one such meeting in the most unexpected of places—a virtual conversation that quietly blossomed into a genuine sisterhood.
Amy is one of the kindest souls I have the privilege of calling my friend. Although we come from different cultures, faiths, and corners of the world, we discovered that the thread weaving our journeys together was not geography, but spirituality. As we spent time getting to know one another, we realised that we had both received the same gentle calling—to reconnect with the Divine Feminine and embody her wisdom in our own unique ways.
In this collaborative article, we each share our personal reflections on the Divine Feminine—how she found us, how she transformed us, and how her presence continues to shape the women we were always meant to become.
Though our journeys began beneath different skies, they led us to the same sacred truth.

“Moonlight on a shifting tide,
The womb of time, the shadow, and the spark.
I honour Her—the mirror and the guide,
Who led me gently home through every dark.”
I remember it distinctly—the season when I first stepped into the world of the Goddesses. December 2022 was unlike any winter I had known before. It wrapped my soul in a warmth I had never experienced. I stood at the edge of my spiritual awakening. Suspended by a string of unknown threads – entangled, but not tight enough for me to untie them.
Hekate – “Who was is this Goddess?”, “Why do I keep seeing about her everywhere?”, were two questions that lead me to read about her. My curiosity led me to know about her history, her legacy. Above all, I could connect the dots.
I was not restricted to one Goddess. I have had the honour of working with many of them – Lilith, Freyja, Kali, Persephone, to be specific. And with time, I understood that all of these versions of the divine feminine energy led to one source – one light.
I have always taken pride in being a woman, but as I educated myself on the essence of the feminine power, I slowly unravelled the woman I had always been beneath the expectations of the world. Here are the lessons that aligned me with my divine feminine energy.
Lesson I – Shadow
The greatest misconception I carried was that embracing my shadows meant becoming darker. It did not. It simply meant becoming honest enough to acknowledge the parts of myself I had hidden for years. The Divine Feminine never asked me to reject my darkness. She simply taught me that awareness transforms darkness into wisdom.
“The light did not arrive because my darkness disappeared. It arrived because I finally opened the door.”
Lesson II – Power
I once believed power was something to acquire. The Divine Feminine showed me it was something to remember. It had never left me. I had simply forgotten where it lived.
“True power was never something to build or acquire—it was the quiet force already breathing inside me, waiting to be remembered.”
Lesson III – Intuition
The louder the world became the quieter my intuition seemed. Yet the Divine Feminine spoke in whispers, never demanding to be heard. She simply waited until I was willing to listen.
“Her whispers were not an absence of sound—they were the return of my own inner truth, waiting to guide me the moment I chose to be still.”
Lesson IV – Softness
I learnt that softness and strength are not opposites. A river never apologises for carving mountains.
“Softness was never a sign of weakness—it was the fluid, enduring force that could reshape worlds without losing its grace.”
Lesson V – Embodiment
Somewhere along the journey, I stopped asking how to become like the Goddesses. Instead, I began asking how to embody the qualities they reflected back to me.
“I still saw Her beauty in the cosmic world – but I finally looked in the mirror and allowed Her to breathe through me, too.”
Not every woman will walk the same sacred path I did.
Some may meet Her through prayer.
Others through motherhood.
Through the wildness of nature.
Through the shattering of heartbreak.
Through the creation of art.
Through the depth of silence.
The Divine Feminine belongs to no single tradition, no lone culture, and no solitary name. She belongs to the ancient marrow of who we are. She belongs, entirely, to every soul willing to look within.
“The Divine Feminine is not a destination you arrive at. She is the home you return to the moment you are brave enough to remember yourself.”

I loved every word! And the poem is beautiful. I’m still amazed at how the Divine finds us in different ways. Thank for sharing your journey and inspiring me to share mine. 🙏💖
My relationship with the Goddess started with a journal jumping off the shelf into my hand at a bookstore and refusing to go back. It had beautiful illustrations and descriptions of the Goddess from around the world with blank journal pages after each one. I started writing prayer poems to each Goddess and soon filled the pages with early conversations with Her. I'll never forget the knowing laughter of a the women in a circle I eventually joined when I told this story, describing my initial superficial curiosity and how unaware I was of the depth I had been invited to swim in.
