The Lunar Steep
When evening shadows start to creep,
And waking worlds prepare for sleep,
The silver moon begins to rise,
To cast her magic through the skies.
We turn to herbs of lunar grace,
To steep inside this sacred space.
Mugwort first, the dreamers’ friend,
To help the stubborn mind unbend.
A bitter leaf of silver hue,
It opens wide the psychic view.
With third-eye vision sharp and clear,
The hidden spirit worlds appear.
Then Chamomile, like gentle starlight,
Brings peace into the quiet night.
It soothes the anxious, weary chest,
And lulls the racing heart to rest.
A golden bloom of solar glow,
That sets the lunar tides aglow.
Sweet Jasmine petals, pale and fair,
Release their perfume in the air.
They draw the tides of love and grace,
And wrap you in a soft embrace.
To heal the heart and lift the soul,
And make the fractured spirit whole.
Lavender of dusky bloom,
Spins beneath the silver moon.
It clears the static from the head,
And casts protection round the bed.
An amulet of scent and sleep,
For secrets that the night-tides keep.
White Willow Bark, from water’s edge,
Fulfills the changing goddess’ pledge.
It heals the ache and guards the night,
By shifting silver lunar light.
It binds the magic, deep and fluid,
As ancient as a Celtic druid.
And Lemon Balm, with citrus sweet,
Where lunar joy and peace now meet.
It clears the grief and drives away,
The heavy burdens of the day.
A bright elixir, clean and sweet,
To make the evening brew complete.
Now hold the spoon and set your mind,
To what you seek or leave behind.
Turn clockwise now to weave and call,
The blessings that you wish to fall.
Turn counter-clockwise to banish pain,
And send the shadows back again.
So let the water start to boil,
And brew the magic from the soil.
With every sip, the power grows,
As silver moonlight softly glows.
The ancient kitchen witchcraft spins,
And so the lunar dream begins.
